Dru was heading home after a late night. One great party, and few beers. He breathed in the cold night air, and almost threw up the beer when he saw the flashing lights come up behind him.

"Oh ****." He said to himself. When he looked into the patrol car he really did almost puke. It was officer Brady, his favorite.


"Hello Dru," he said with his usually sneer, "you mind telling me what your doing out after curfew?"

"Partying." Dru said coolly, already knowing what was about to happen.

"Get in."

Two days later, Dru was in jail, for three weeks.Oh and did I mention He just missed his one chance at ever keeping Lexi from becoming a hoarder. On top of that, the ten year battle was coming up. Why did he have to be so stupid, he asked himself.

A few days later....

Lexi got back from partying it up on her birthday, happy but still sad, because Dru wasn't there. "Oh well," she said. "he'd want me to be strong without him. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, and went off to bed. Just as she fell asleep, she woke up. At first she thought it was just a major migraine, that is she saw her body lying there, and her staring it...or her or whatever.

"I am officially freaked out." She said to herself, not that anyone was listening. And then she felt him and an unbridled rage with it.

"Lexi?", Dru asked quietly..."Don't kill me for not telling you. I just couldn't. At least not yet."

Usually lexi wouldn't be mad, but she was, she didn't know why.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, keeping her voice level.

"I was,"he said "But before I did, I got thrown in jail, besides, after I found out, I was scared."

"You? Scared? Why? I actually, I should be asking what the heck is this?"

"Scared because your a Dream Hoarder, and I'm a Dream Solstice. And when we met, I didn't know. But know, well, let's start with this." Dru took out the necklace and handed it to Lexi. Oddly real in their floating , airy bodies. She took it and suddenly felt more in control.

"That allows you to control it."

"You still haven't answered me Dru, why?'

"Because, since we've had feeling for each other, were mortal enemies. Destined to hate and destroy each other. that, and the war is coming."

"War?" She asked blankly.

"Yeah..." And Dru left.

"What just happened?" Lexi said, and entered her body.

Happy ending don't seen to ever find me. Dru thought as he drifted back into his body. I just give them to everyone else.

"He should BE HERE!" Rich shouted. " I don't care if his precious little girlfriend became a hoarder, he sho-.

"Ric," Shaniqua said sternly. " He just took a big hit, and besides, it's not your job, to keep track of him, it's mine.

"He should still be here." Rich muttered to himself. Shaniqua sighed.

Lin Yurihori [U.re.oree] a.k.a The Serene Solstice. Lin is cool, and that pretty much sums her up. The way she works, is, she takes the last happy or peaceful thought you had, and expands upon it. It's not much, but it's awesome.


Dru Johnson a.k.a Horror & Salvation You know Dru. He may be lazy at times, but he works, he does his job amazingly. He can cause the most horrific, gory dreams or the most most godly dreams. Or a combo of both.

James Tudor a.k.a Money Bags James is sorta the rich white kid nobody really likes, they just hang around for the money. He's not as bad as most, but he flashes all the same.. He'll give your "I'm so great", feel good about yourself dreams.

Shaniqua Jones a.k.a The African Goddess. Also, the leader of the Solstice. Shaniqua grew up in the ghetto, and she said she'd get out, and she did. At 21, she's the oldest of the Solstices. She became the leader because she has the power to Summon & Soothe. She can take all your bad memories or bring out your good. Now what makes her special is, she doesn't have to be in dream mode to do it. But, she really specializes in bringing you dreams of your roots.

Shaniqua spoke, " I'll make sure he'll be here next time, we have to our war council."

The dream Solstices had known each other for about 3 years now, meeting regularly (or semi-regularly in Dru's case) and they were kinda close, believe it or not. They cared foreach other, yes, even Rich and Dru. Nothing could break them apart, or so they thought.,[/size]

Update: Part two


Dru mentally crossed of another day. "Only one more week left." Dru said softly, to no one in particular. He was quite surprised when Officer Truscott said he was bailed out.

"Who did it?" Dru asked. His question was answered by the next two words.

"Hello Dru," a sweet, strong voice said.

"Shaniqua?! What are you doing here in Chicago?"

"I moved," she said matter of factly. " I thought you could use a friend. And I have new business opening.

"thanks." Was all Dru could say.

They slowly, moving nowhere in particular, until Dru asked if she was hungry. They stopped at a dinner on 42nd. It smelled of french fries and chicken. Dru ordered for both of them and they talked over their food.

Shaniqua started. "You better show up at the next meeting, or Rich is going to make you have sex with your mom."

Dru chuckled. "I'll be there, especially since it's our first War Council. But, it was just being in jail and lo- losing Lexi." Dru regretted it the instant he said the name. THe token of affection made his blood go cold, almost knocking him out. Shaniqua brought him back.

"You got to remember not to say that, you know Hoarders hold that over us."

I Know, but it's all I ever called her. I might go see her tonight."

Shaniqua sharply said ," No. Dru, she's a hoarder now, you know what will happen. Leave it alone."

"Alright,." said Dru. And his heart died a little more, but not before he let his dream self start to wander toward Linsday's house.
